Cembrit is introducing Cembrit Flow, a new secret fixing system for its URBANNATURE cladding range. Cembrit Flow has been designed with simplicity and rapidity of installation in mind, to provide contractors, architects and specifiers with a system which meets the demands of the modern construction environment.
“Invisible fixing for cladding is an increasingly desirable feature,” says Ged Ferris, Marketing Manager of Cembrit. “Although the market already offers this type of system they are often complex to use and can be costly. Our Flow System, specifically designed to be used with URBANNATURE, is an integrated solution with minimal extra parts making it attractive to the specifier, and especially the contractor on-site.”
The Cembrit Flow System comprises pre-grooved URBANNATURE cladding panels with two specially designed aluminium fixing profiles. The aluminium profiles are fixed to the structural frame, incorporating “tongues” which locate into the grooves in the rear of the cladding panels. These panels are simply ‘clicked’ into place creating a speedy, easy to fix façade with no visible fixing! There is no on-site cutting, screwing or riveting of the panels and few accessories. Grey coated edge trims are available for corners and backing tape is used to apply to the verticals in the structural frame so that the frame does not show in the gaps between the cladding panels.
The system complies with ENs 12467:2004 and 13501-1:2002 and meets the wind loading requirements of BS EN 12211:2000. The panels will be available in two sizes – 1192x597mm and 1192x297mm and sold in packs of 1m² for ease of ordering and estimating.
