HI-MACS® Solid Surface, which is distributed exclusively in Ireland and the UK by James Latham, will supply the trophies for this year’s prestigious Institute of Designers in Ireland (IDI) Awards.
The 14th Annual Institute of Designers in Ireland Awards ceremony, which takes place at the Sugar Club in Dublin on November 8th, will showcase the very best talent across all design disciplines on the island of Ireland.
The awards are an occasion to celebrate the excellent standards achieved by these designers in 2011/2012 and a number of this year’s outstanding entries will be exhibited at the event.
Fraser McLauchlan, HI-MACS® product manager for Ireland commented, “The Institute’s distinctive ‘eye’ shaped trophies have become almost iconic and make a clear statement about excellence and design innovation within Ireland’s creative community and they are rightly displayed with real pride.
We are hoping that this year’s trophies, which will be fabricated from HI-MACS, will look even more ‘eye catching’ on the boardroom tables, desks and reception areas of this year’s winners.”
Offering ‘invisible’ joints, HI-MACS® Solid Surface can be thermoformed into almost any shape allowing unlimited creative options to architects and designers. It can be supplied in thicknesses of 12mm, 9mm and 6mm and the full palette of 113 colours is available for download in CAD software-compatible format from www.himacsuk.co.uk.
