As part of the Hush Acoustics range of products we provide acoustic materials for floors, walls and ceilings in new build and refurbishment health care projects.
In order to meet the specific healthcare requirements it is important to ensure that surfaces and materials are easy to keep clean and free of germs so conventional sound reduction solutions may not always be appropriate.
One of our solutions is Hush slab 100 sound absorber – a product that can be incorporated within walls to reduce sound transfer. We have also developed acoustic floor solutions that sit beneath all floor finishes and are used in healthcare environments. These products include cradle and batten floors, a variety of acoustic deck options and resilient rubber floor membranes.
Healthcare facilities often have large areas of hard surfaces such as tiled walls and hard floors both of which reflect sound waves and increase ambient noise. A loud environment can be distressing for patients and it can stop them from getting rest that is vital for recovery. Patients’ confidentiality and privacy may also be compromised by insufficient sound reduction.
All Hush products and systems are sourced responsibly from sustainable and recycled raw materials and exceed the requirements of UK Building Regulations including Approved Document E (England & Wales), Section 5 (Scotland) and Part G (Northern Ireland). This includes compliance with Robust Details and Code for Sustainable Homes if needed.
Established for over 25 years Hush Acoustics are one of the longest established acoustic specialists in the United Kingdom.
