James Latham’s group product sales and development manager, Paul Leach, has taken on responsibility for developing sales of Accoya® – its modified, highly durable and dimensionally stable certified softwood.
Paul, who joined Lathams in 2011 – bringing with him almost 30 years of experience in the timber industry – already looks after WoodEx®, Latham’s versatile, engineered hardwood and softwood -which offers two high quality clear faces – making it an ideal product for use in numerous joinery applications including windows and doors.
Paul’s focus is to develop the market for Accoya®, primarily among the joinery and construction sectors as its exceptional properties of durability, stability and strength, plus its 50-year guarantee for exterior use when used above ground, makes it particularly attractive for the construction of windows, doors, decking, cladding or other joinery applications.
Paul reports to Latham’s Timber Director, John May who said, “Since joining James Latham, the work Paul has done in developing the market for our engineered timber, WoodEx® has been fantastic and so it seemed the natural choice for him to take on modified timber as well and he is already making massive in-roads. Increasingly, specifiers are looking for products which are not only legal and sustainable but are more dimensionally stable and durable and both WoodEx® and now Accoya® offer an attractive solution for their joinery and construction projects. ”
Both WoodEx® and Accoya® are available directly from stock at all ten of James Latham’s timber distribution points covering the UK.
