Formica Group and Unilin are delighted to announce the launch of the new Formica® Unilin Collection, introducing new colours, woodgrains and patterns. Extending the range to 103 designs available in High Pressure Laminate (HPL) and complementary Melamine Faced Chipboard (MFC), the new collection offers a selection of exclusive designs inspired by the latest trends, created to provide aesthetic surfacing solutions of the highest quality.
The new Formica Unilin Collection combines the inherent strength of postforming grade HPL for demanding horizontal and vertical applications with the pre-bonded MFC for vertical and furniture applications, ensuring the best-value solutions for all interior surfacing projects.
“The introduction of the new Formica Unilin Collection is a very exciting development in the long-standing design partnership we have in place with Formica Group,” explains Katrien De Vlieger, Designer at Unilin. “The Collection is a testament to Unilin and Formica Group working together and combining their expertise in trend watching and decor development to offer an exclusive range for customers.”
Ideal for use in retail, hospitality and office environments, the Formica Unilin Collection provides the best-value solutions for numerous applications; from retail displays, changing rooms, wall panelling and counter tops to cupboards, drawers or interior doors.
The Colors range meets the demand for muted tones, neutrals, pastels highlighted by a range of bright accents answering the trend for colour blocking.
“Our goal was to create a harmonious, well balanced offer of usable neutrals and a more colourful chromatic palette to answer the current and anticipated trends”, explains Eva Hoernisch, Design Manager Europe, Formica Group. “The wide colour palette provides an opportunity to mix and match with the Woods and Fantasies ranges, creating fresh and contemporary looks.”
The Wood range focuses on neutral wood tones, including whites as well as light greys and browns, following the trends for light, clean woods and natural colours. Oak remains the most popular wood design in the European market place, offering a classic look with a modern twist. There are 11 new oak designs, replicating different finishing techniques; “Vintage”, “Reclaimed” and “Fumed”.
The Fantasies decors are made up of optical solids and intriguing patterns created by texture applied to plain colours. With textiles gaining popularity in interior design, Blue Jeans, a new textile weave décor reflects this trend and looks great combined with mid-brown wood decors.
Both Formica Group and Unilin hold strong positions in the design market. Formica Group, the ‘original’, High Pressure Laminate manufacturer, with 100 years of innovation and manufacture brings unrivalled expertise, which ensures quality, reliability and products that are fit for purpose. Whilst Unilin, a major player in the industry for over 50 years has achieved leading positions in its four main markets (wood-based panels, melamine panels, laminate flooring and roofing systems), and continues to invest heavily in research and technical developments.
