Almost 350 m2 of carpet tiles were supplied in grey from the Array range and purple from the Broadrib range to complement the council’s logo. The latest phase of carpet was installed by Elite Flooring, based in Folkestone.
The accent colour – purple – was selected to match the council’s corporate colours and to complement the breakout furniture and desk screens, whilst the grey Array carpet tiles provided a neutral base. The layout was designed around the desk plans, breakout space and integral partitioned meeting rooms. The purple accent colour was also used to define the walkways in the building, which was in sharp contrast to the white lockers and pale grey cupboards and workstations.
Shepway District Council Council’s Deputy Chief Executive and Project Sponsor, Kathryn Beldon said: “The Array range was the perfect choice for our refurbished open plan offices at Shepway. The vibrant purple with complementary broadrib purple are a close match to our corporate colours and the visually pleasing floor design flows from the walkways to the desks and break-out spaces.”
Array is the latest addition to Heckmondwike FB’s creative flooring range and is proving popular for both commercial and education environments.
Abby Chandler, Marketing Manager for Heckmondwike FB, said: “Our new Array tiles are providing a very popular choice when used with our Broadrib range as they create endless design possibilities. As the trend towards ‘hot desking’ and open plan offices continues, carpet is being chosen to produce specific zones within an area, without the need for partitions. Colour is also being used to create walkways that are clearly visible to provide a better flow of traffic through a building.”
Heckmondwike FB’s Array and Broadrib carpet tiles are manufactured here in the UK and provide long term durability and performance.
They offer excellent value for money and are supplied with a 10-year limited wear warranty and that means that they can be specified in complete confidence.
Both Broadrib and Array are anti-slip tiles and offer acoustic properties that reduce noise pollution, which makes them ideal for multi-occupancy buildings. Both ranges are popular with contractors as they can be cut on site without risk of fraying, which allows individual flooring designs to be created and installed with ease.
The Array tiles feature a mid-width rib design, with a charcoal background enhanced with a subtle linear pattern in either Red, Blue, Purple, Lime, Magenta or Black.
Broadrib has a wider rib structure than some other Fibre Bonded carpet products, creating a defined contrast in its texture. Available in 24 colour options, Broadrib is widely specified in public buildings, libraries, retail outlets and in the commercial sector.
Heckmondwike FB carpets and carpet tiles are available with full technical support, as part of the service. All fibre bonded products are manufactured by Heckmondwike FB at its base in West Yorkshire, where the company is fully certified to ISO 14001, as part of its commitment to sustainability.
Heckmondwike FB is one of the leading carpet suppliers to the education, commercial and public sectors and is well-known for the excellent value, durability and high performance of its products.
