Protect your wood in the sun

Osmo UK, the eco-friendly wood and finishes expert has developed a finish to protect, maintain and restore exterior wood. Osmo UV-Protection-Oil has been specially designed to rejuvenate the wood, leaving it looking in top condition throughout summer months.

Protection of exterior wood is of the utmost importance as it can fade if untreated due to the extreme weather conditions. Osmo UV-Protection-Oil delays the greying process by shielding the wood against harmful UV rays, and algae and fungal decay. Additionally, the finish ensures a professional finish that will enhance and protect wood for many years to come.

“Exterior wood has to withstand harsh weathering conditions throughout the winter months and often leaves the material looking grey and tired” explains Steve Grimwood, Managing Director of Osmo UK. “UV-Protection-Oil strengthens the wood from within, allows it to breathe, moisture to evaporate and ensures a flawless finish both upon application and for many years to come.”

The full UV-Protection-Oil range consists of natural ingredients to eliminate algae and fungal decay and provide optimal protection against the sun. By absorbing into the wood, the oil allows the surface to remain healthy and elastic, preventing it from drying and becoming brittle, and will not crack, flake, peel or blister. Ideal for exterior decking, it provides a satin-matt, clear finish that not only protects the wood surface it can also enhance the natural look of the wood.

For raw wood application, two coats need to be applied, with just one required for surface renewal. Dry after just 12 hours, the environmentally friendly solution is safe to humans, animals and plants, complying with DIN 53160.

The range includes UV-Protection-Oil Clear, Cedar UV-Protection-Oil and Oak UV-Protection-Oil.
