Vent-Axia - PureAir Sense

Vent-Axia Announced as Six-Times Finalist at H&V News Awards!

Market-leading ventilation expert Vent-Axia has shown its design leadership in tackling the problems of poor indoor air quality (IAQ) in the home with three products being shortlisted in two categories each at the prestigious H&V News Awards.

This impressive shortlisting success is for Vent-Axia’s PoziDry Compact Pro, the Vent-Axia PureAir Sense and the Silent Fan which have all been named as finalists in both the ‘Air Movement Product of the Year’ and the ‘Domestic Ventilation Product of the Year’ categories.

This multiple shortlisting in the H&V News Awards confirms Vent-Axia’s leading position in the ventilation market and its commitment in helping provide good IAQ for its customers. The H&V News Awards reward excellence and celebrate the achievements across the building services industry. Award winners will be announced at a glittering ceremony at the prestigious 5-star Grosvenor House Hotel on London’s Park Lane on 30 April 2020. This major event on the industry calendar is expected to be attended by over 1,000 people and is set to provide a fantastic networking opportunity.

Designed to improve IAQ, Vent-Axia’s Silent Fan range allows households to benefit from super quiet extraction, with the new variable speed mode allowing homes needing long ducts runs to still benefit from quiet ventilation. The Vent-Axia PureAir Sense offers pioneering odour sense technology, which removes nasty niffs and provides household peace of mind when it comes to IAQ. Meanwhile, the PoziDry Compact Pro allows even small homes without a loft to take advantage of the benefits of Positive Input Ventilation (PIV), improving IAQ and helping combat condensation and mould.

“We are absolutely delighted to have been shortlisted for an amazing six awards! This is testament to Vent-Axia’s market-leading ventilation design and expertise in helping the nation improve the air quality in their homes” said Tom Wodcke, Product Manager at Vent-Axia. “All three fans offer quiet, efficient running, improve IAQ and are packed with features that mean every home can find the right fan for them.”

The new Silent Fan Range is the quietest bathroom fan available at just 12dB(A). It delivers stylish and silent ventilation without compromising on performance, and now comes with 8 model options, providing flexibility when choosing the right fan. The range is IPX5-rated (for Zone 1) meaning even the smallest bathrooms can benefit from improved IAQ at very low sound levels.

Vent-Axia Silent Fan Range

Included in the range are three variable speed intermittent fans that are suitable for most applications with basic, timer and humidistat options. This option gives added flexibility since during installation electricians can simply adjust the speed depending on the individual needs of the project. For example, if a fan needs to cope with a longer duct run the installer can just turn up the speed to achieve the required airflow whist still maintaining low sound levels.

Designed to improve the air households breathe, the Vent-Axia PureAir Sense is equipped with a pioneering odour sensor that increases airflow when the air quality is poor, helping ensure a healthy living environment. When the sensor detects a strong odour, the fan speed increases and quickly extracts the odour to help ensure the air always feels fresh. This premium fan is an ideal addition to customers’ bathrooms, combining a host of intelligent features, quiet operation and an attractive design, as well as featuring a simple to use LED touch panel and app control functions. With a minimal design and low noise levels the Vent-Axia PureAir Sense is unobtrusive, fitting easily into bathroom decor and ticks all the right boxes as a premium fan.

Meanwhile, the PoziDry Compact Pro offers a totally new way of thinking about wall-mounted PIV, and is the ideal solution for combating condensation and mould in problem properties without a loft. Boasting many unique features, the PoziDry Compact Pro is the size of a shoe box and is the smallest PIV unit on the market, yet is still powerful enough to effectively tackle condensation and mould. It’s so small it can fit inside the decorative boxing used to cover its ducting.

The PoziDry Compact Pro also boasts quick and simple installation. Featuring a unique removable inner cartridge, its foam back plate weighs just 130g ensuring there is no need for installers to lift a heavy metal box above head height to mark drilling holes. The inner cartridge contains all the critical components of the unit, meaning repairs or replacement is easy. Electricians simply unplug and remove the central cartridge, leaving the ductwork, wiring and mounting undisturbed during re-installation. By only replacing the inner cartridge there is less plastic waste and less fuel for shipping, thus lowering the installation’s carbon footprint.
