Further to the acquisition and major refurbishment of the old Harrington Hall Hotel site, the new lifestyle brand of Residents’ Clubs The Other House reveals further details about its first opening in South Kensington, including a first look at its innovative Club Flats.
Launching in Spring 2022, it promises to combine world-class design with a decidedly clubby feel to encourage a new generation of long and short-term guests to make Southwest London their home.
Blurring the lines to create a new cutting-edge type of accommodation, The Other House will disrupt the traditional sectors of hotels, serviced apartments and private rentals, positioning itself as a second home for its guest – think other house.
Effortlessly and elegantly combining home comforts with hotel style facilities, whatever the length of stay, The Other House South Kensington will offer 200 signature fully fitted and contemporary classic Club Flats – for leisure travellers and corporate visitors alike. A focal point where residents can relax and explore.
Designed by globally renowned interiors studio Bergman Design House, The Other House will exude its very own distinct character and identity. Elevating the traditional long stay and serviced apartment models, the new brand will combine beautifully designed apartments – complete with fully fitted kitchens, living and sleeping areas – with a private club exclusively for residents and members to relax and enjoy with two bars, spa and fitness studio. For a local vibe, there are boldly stunning public spaces including a destination bar and all-day dining bistro.
With eight categories of Club Flats – Club Town, Club Garden, Club Courtyard, Club Mezz, Club Class, Club Vault, Club Turret and Club Access – the units range from 258 sqft (24sqm) to 581 sqft (54sqm) as well as two-, three- and four-bedroom options. The intelligent use of space revolves around the living area (rather than the bedroom) just as it does at home which is key to creating a real sense of place.
Residents who stay at The Other House will find all they could ever need at their fingertips, whenever they want. Central to this is The Other House app which offers personalisation and control through on-demand access to hotel-style services. The app enables residents to manage their entire stay and experience, from booking, checking-in, room entry and controls to room cleaning, laundry, beauty treatments, restaurant and bar bookings, tailoring stays to their own needs.
For long-stay guests, The Other House will provide a new alternative to renting, offering any length stays, around the clock security, access to hotel style services and the very best of city living. The first of this type of accommodation that the UK has seen, it will also offer flexibility for residents to book in and out, perfect for when they go on vacations or visit their families.

Establishing itself as ‘one to watch’ in the hospitality industry with this forward-thinking concept, The Other House South Kensington is the first Residents’ Club to be launched. The brand will then be opening in other ‘villages’ throughout central London, including Covent Garden, by 2023 before rolling out internationally.
