Contemporary Coastal Living

Situated along the picturesque English coastline is the latest project by The Main Company. Working alongside the highly-skilled architects at Hatch + Mason, this beautiful bespoke kitchen combines contemporary coastal charm with classic accents to create a kitchen with an abundance of visual appeal.

Drawing in the eye and creating a striking first impression is the L-shape run of cabinetry. Painted in Little Greene’s Basalt, this deep, bold shade exudes sophistication. Offset perfectly by a Quartz worktop, the inherent veining and ripple detailing of this manmade surface adds character and texture to the effortlessly stylish space.

“We chose to incorporate classic accents with a rich colour palette in this modern coastal kitchen, paired alongside white painted walls and grey floorboards, the finished result is really something special. The hidden pantry is something we’re seeing more and more consumers requesting and we chose to include a wooden ladder with aged brass rail for a unique finishing touch.”

Complemented by aged brass handles for a timeless yet nostalgic touch, this well-designed kitchen has been created with each and every detail in mind. Aged brass is also used across the rail, to support a wooden ladder that provides access to a concealed pantry – a desirable feature in many modern homes that maximises storage in a discreet way.

High-specification accessories complete the look, including an anthracite Lacanche range cooker and Belfast sink for an elegant yet functional scheme with instant wow-factor. To soften the space and provide a pop of personality, The Main Company created an engineered oak shelf for above the sink area, for displaying art prints, lush green plants and glassware.
