The Ecodan Hydrodan Water to Water Heat Pump
Mitsubishi Electric now offer a new, highly efficient, water to water heat pump for the multi-residential market, the Ecodan Hydrodan, which utilises a 5th generation heat network.
With the application of the new Ecodan Hydrodan in an ambient loop set-up, it is possible to make use of water at a temperature of around 25°C.
An Ecodan Hydrodan in each apartment then heats the water supply to a usable temperature to supply both LTHW and DHW up to 60°C, resulting in a highly energy efficient transfer of heat through a single low-carbon system.
Negligible distribution losses and heat recovery from cooling plant can further reduce primary energy consumption, making Ecodan Hydrodan an efficient and cost-effective solution for multi-residential heat provision.
The local heat network can be maintained at ambient temperature by a Mitsubishi Electric commercial heat pump, environmental heat source or connection to a district heat network.
