Operational Carbon in New and Existing Buildings – CPD Guide & Webinar

Mitsubishi Electric are pleased to announce the release of their latest CPD guide:
Operational Carbon in New and Existing Buildings and invite you to register for the associated CPD webinar on the 22nd November at 2pm.

One of the main challenges for the construction sector is that buildings generate emissions throughout their lifetime.

Operational Carbon in New and Existing Buildings - CPD Guide & WebinarAlongside Embodied Carbon, buildings are also responsible for Operational Carbon produced during a building’s use phase. Some of these may be direct emissions, such as burning fossil fuels such as gas or oil on-site for heating and hot water. In addition, there are indirect operational emissions created when electricity used in the building is generated from fossil fuels.

The UKGBC states that 19% of the UK’s carbon footprint is from operational emissions produced from energy used to heat, cool and power buildings.

Delivered by Mitsubishi Electric Product Specialists, this CPD guide and webinar aims to help readers understand how these issues relate to operational carbon in the built environment and why it is a significant element of the UK’s journey to Net Zero 2050.

Following the CPD webinar, you will also have the opportunity to put your questions direct to product experts in a live Q&A session.
