Zeuner invited to represent the Heat Pump Association at the House of Commons

Zeuner Limited recently represented the Heat Pump Association at a Parliamentary Reception held at the Terrace Pavilion in the House of Commons, in recognition of the company’s ever-growing voice and influence within the UK heat pump market.

The event, titled “From Carbon to Competitiveness: The Economic and Societal Benefits of Heat Pumps in the UK,” brought together parliamentarians, policymakers and industry leaders to discuss the future of low-carbon heating and the role heat pump technologies will play in supporting the UK’s net zero ambitions.

Chris Reilly, Founder and Director of Zeuner Limited, attended the reception on behalf of the company and the Heat Pump Association alongside key figures from across the energy and construction sectors.

Hosted by Bill Esterson MP, Chair of the Energy Security and Net Zero Committee, the event also featured a keynote speech from the Minister for Energy Consumers, Martin McCluskey MP.

Discussions focused on the economic and societal opportunities presented by the growth of the heat pump sector, following the publication of a recent report identifying that heat pump manufacturing, installation and use contributed £1 billion to the UK economy in 2025, with the potential to increase to £15 billion by 2035.

An engineer by profession, Chris Reilly has worked within the heat pump and renewable energy sector for more than 20 years and is recognised as a leading voice in sustainable heating technologies, geothermal systems and energy-efficient building solutions.

Under Chris’s leadership, Zeuner has established itself as a specialist in the installation, integration, maintenance and optimisation of commercial ground source heat pump systems. The company works across large-scale commercial environments, delivering engineered renewable heating solutions designed to improve system performance, reduce operational energy demand and support long-term decarbonisation strategies.

Zeuner continues to advocate for greater recognition of the commercial sector’s role within the UK’s renewable energy transition, highlighting that commercial buildings and infrastructure are among the country’s largest energy users and therefore critical to achieving meaningful carbon reduction targets.

The discussion also comes at a time when the importance of renewable energy in tackling long-term energy security and rising energy costs has been highlighted coupled with a greater recognition that the route to greater control over energy prices lies in accelerating the transition towards cleaner, home-grown renewable technologies.

Chris Reilly commented: “It was a privilege for Zeuner to represent the Heat Pump Association at such an important parliamentary event. While much of the national conversation often focuses on domestic heating, it is vital that the commercial sector is given equal attention.

“Commercial buildings are major energy users, and improving efficiency within these environments can have a significant impact on both carbon reduction and long-term energy costs. The transition towards renewable heating technologies is not only an environmental necessity, but also an economic opportunity for the UK.”
