Axter’s fully integrated photovoltaic roof membranes generate 17,600 kWh renewable electricity per year
Southbury Road, Enfield
Planning permission for this private residential block required 10% CO2 emissions savings through the use of renewable energy. Axter’s MCS accredited General Solar photovoltaic roofing, chosen on cost grounds, was designed to generate 17,600 kWh and save 10,000 kgs of CO2 /year. The installation could earn £5,500 from the feed-in tariff and save owners a further £1,000 in annual electricity charges.
The renewable energy requirement was provided by a fully integrated warm roof construction incorporating a thin film photovoltaic array. The construction also included a small extensive green roof.
